Dylan Cohen and the Fighting Irish Take 54-10 win over the Bears in Friday Night Lights
SEATTLE - Senior guard and center Dylan Cohen and the O'Dea Fighting Irish earned a 54-10 win over the Blanchet Bears this past Friday at West Seattle Stadium.
The Irish got touchdowns from Jason Brown, Christian Winn, Quinn White, Luke Danna, and Antone Araujo. All these scores would not have been possible if it wasn't for the dominating performance from Cohen himself with 10 pancakes in the game.
He dominated both sides of the ball but was quick to give credit to his teammates. "Brendan Murphy and Anthony Hall dominated on defense holding Blanchet's offense to only one touchdown and a field goal."
One highlight from Cohen's Friday night lights was, "seeing the young 2's and 3's getting in the game and getting some good extra work in."
The coaches took the starters out in the 3rd quarter to let the bench players get reps and give the starters a break.
The whole team looked locked in at the start of the game with their all black uniforms.
Cohen described the teams mindset as, "treating it like every other game and that the team had to play good defense cause the running back was going to make them work."
The team is currently 2-0 and are looking to continue their streak this upcoming Friday at Lumen Field against Rainier Beach.
Cohen's words to the fans about the upcoming game: "Be there or be square."
