Maragh has hopes of making it to state for the triple jump. The triple jump is what Maragh believes he’s best at. He made it to districts last year and it was only his first time trying out track. He believes he can make it all the way, but at the same time just have fun with his friends and make the best of his senior season.

Preparing for the track season isn’t something that’s easy and light. He takes his training very seriously consisting of many workouts, running sessions, and doing things on his own outside of track practice. This is the biggest thing for athletes, to work on your own outside of practice to unlock your full potential.

“I prepare to do my best in track going to 6 am workouts with coach p and training at the track on weekends.”

Track isn’t easy, it takes a lot of hard work and time. You have to be patient with yourself and that’s just what Maragh has to do. He takes this very seriously, but has no time for sitting around doing nothing. This makes track harder for everyone because he is trying to achieve his goals no matter the cost.

“The hardest thing about track is getting mentally prepared as getting locked in is a big part of your performance.”

Overall, Maragh is an amazing athlete who has more potential than he knows. He enjoys being a part of the team, and loves working hard to achieve his goals no matter what it takes. He’s got that dog in him to do these things on a daily basis.
