Miles Goodman and His Breakout Year

Updated: Feb 22, 2023

Junior Miles Goodman has improved a lot in the past year and a half throughout high school basketball.

Goodman is coming off a big summer after playing on the EYBL circuit with his rotary AAU team and traveling all over different places to play basketball against some of the top prospects in the country.

Coming out of the summer, Goodman had to change the way he plays coming into high school basketball because it is very different.

When Goodman was asked, did he like playing AAU basketball or high school basketball? He said, “I like playing metro league, it’s a different feeling”.

Transitioning into high school basketball after Goodman had a good summer basketball and recruiting wise. Goodman was looking to have a breakout year for high school and make a name for himself at O’Dea high school.

To stay on topic when Goodman got questioned did he want to leave a name for self and a legacy? He stated, “yes I want people to know my name coming out of high school and I’m playing to help this team to be one of the best teams to come out of O’Dea ”.

While playing high school basketball Goodman says “I’ve improved on being more aggressive towards the basket”.

As Goodmans team continues to keep going in the season as they have a 11-3 record Goodman says, “we are good, but we cannot get comfortable”.

Goodman is averaging 11.1 points per game and if he continues to keep and do what he is, he will be impacting his team and his recruiting process.

Goodman holds offers from San Diego State, University of Washington, and the University of Montana. The way that good man and his team is playing good men could have very good success coming out of high school for his team, they have a very good chance of winning a state championship.

If that’s possible that would have a very good impact on Goodman and his future and also it would put his high school on the spotlight and that’s what Goodman’s goal is, to leave an impact.

Goodman has a very bright future ahead of him if he’s staying on track and doing what’s best for him, he can achieve his goals and make a legacy like he wants.
