New and improved 2022-23 O'Dea Fighting Irish basketball team
Winter is now here and that means that winter sports are going to be starting up. The winter sport I’m going to be covering today is basketball.
The O’Dea fighting Irish basketball team looks to come off strong start in the regular season with playing O’Dea basketball, meaning, being disciplined, sharing the brotherhood, and having toughness. The fighting Irish look to take it all the way this year with their special group of guys.
The Fighting Irish made it to the state tournament last year but came up short, losing in the quarterfinals. Since then, the fighting Irish have had ambition to get back on the court and show what they can do this year.
The key players that are returning this year are senior guard, Mason Williams. He looks to have an impactful season after committing to Eastern Washington University.
The second big impactful player that is returning for the fighting Irish season is junior center Miles Goodman. Goodman looks to take this year as a statement year and letting everyone know that he has improved as an all-around player.
Another big player that is returning is senior small forward Miles Clark. Clark is also a commitment to Air Force University; Clark has all senior season to prove to his future coaches and program why they gave him the scholarship.
An add on to the Fighting Irish team is senior transfer Amare Jackson.
The fighting Irish has a great group of guys this year, even going deep into the bench, there are some great role players, don’t forget about them.
Be sure to go to one of the games this season and support the brotherhood. The first season opener is on November 29 versus Timberline high school at 7:15 p.m. and that is when the start of hard work pays off.
