O’Dea baseball looks to start off HOT


The Irish have a deep roster this year and look to make major improvements from last year.

Last year the Irish lost their first 2 games. They lost eastside catholic and ballard in tough games.

The Irish had a young team last year with a lot of sophomores in big roles. With some now juniors looking to continue in big roles.

Some names to look out for are Davis downer plays outfield and is committed to Washington state.

Another big name is Patrick Galvin who is a pitcher and just committed to Seattle University.

Also, Vaughn Lowe started at 3rd base last year and is going to be the closer this year.

“This year I’m focused on helping the team win however I can” -Vaughn Lowe

Also, captains Tyler Bugbee and JJ Abner are looking to have big years in their final year of high school.

JJ is a senior infielder and is committed to Seattle University.

Tyler is a senior outfielder and is committed to Yakima Valley CC.

The Irish have their first game against a top 4a team in Eastlake Highschool.

The Irish had some coaching changes this year moving former O'Dea alum Pierre LeDorze and Tony Davilla.

The starters this year are looking to be:

JJ Abner (second base)

Tyler Bugbee (outfield)

Teddy Schulte (outfield)

Davis Downer (outfield)

Isiah Nolan (shortstop)

Vaughn Lowe (third base)

Luke Klooster (catcher)

The main pitchers this year are Brady Foster, Patrick Galvin, and Jeffrey Woods.

O’Dea baseball has a deep team and is Going to need senior Brady Foster to have a big year.

The baseball team is looking to win state and make major improvements from last year.
