O'Dea cross country looks to make districts

Updated: Sep 29, 2022

The O’Dea cross country team, led by junior runner Seku Sanders, has started the season and sets its sights on the district tournament.

In addition to the team's goals, Sanders looks to set personal records going into his 3rd year.

He is looking to improve on last season; he’s looking to set a new time.

“My personal goal is to get under 17 consistently by the end of the season.”

A big goal for the cross country team is to make it to districts.

They have lots of good runners and are looking to make the top 8 so they can accomplish their goal and make it to districts

Both coaches are O'Dea graduates Coach Bazzi 96’ and Coach Mohn 18’

The Irish finished their last meet with 38 points which was enough to beat Seattle prep 39 and Ballard with 45.

They finished second in their meet on the 16th as they lost to a highly talented Bishop Blanchet team 17 to 71.

They have had a strong start to the season and look to keep the momentum going on the 29th.
