O’Dea football comes back to beat Bothell

After being down 13-0 O'Dea had a big second half to win 21-13 against a tough Bothell team.

Junior quarterback Luke D'Anna threw 2 touchdown passes although one was called back. Darien Maragh caught one of them for a touchdown.

Junior running back Jason Brown had a commanding game per usual, That included a 25 yard second half touchdown.

After struggling a bit in the first half, Brendan Murphy and the Irish defense picked it up in the second half. The Cougars did not score a point in the second half.

“We were really able to pick them apart in the second half. We were able to do whatever we want, “ said junior defensive tackle Amen Ephrem.

The whole team had it rolling in the second half. They looked like nothing could stop them. Bothell could not get anything going in the second half.

It was a big win for the Irish being able to beat a top ten 4A team.

The Irish take on the Bishop Blanchet Bears and they hope to keep the momentum going.
