O'Dea Golf Ready for Big Season Ahead

The varsity O'Dea golf team is ready to begin their fall season opening against Seattle Prep on September 14th. The Irish captains, Brady Foster, Brady Anderson, and Bryce Dunbar, will take charge of the team this fall.

This year's golf team has nine matches squeezed into less than a month. This short season should help prepare them for the post season this year.

Junior Carter Gribble is another key returner to this year's team. He is a skilled hitter with a high ceiling and potential to be great in this upcoming season.

Coach McLaughlin has been O’Dea’s head golf coach since 2020. McLaughlin led his team to the Metro and District Championships his first year as head coach and hopes to repeat that this year.

The team has big goals this year as described by Senior captain Brady Foster

“I have high expectations for our team. We have a solid core returning for another season. If everyone plays to their potential each match, O'Dea will once again be the team to beat. I hope that we can take home a Metro title this year. We are always in contention, but we just need a little more this year to achieve that goal. I am hoping that junior, Carter Gribble, can continue his hot streak as we arrive at the beginning of the season.”
