O’Dea’s Senior Guard Quincy Linton is Ready for his Final Season with the Irish

SEATTLE-Quincy Linton is a 6’1 185lb guard for the Irish. A lot of work has gone into his high school career.

Linton started on JV as a freshman and worked his way up through the program to a starter on varsity as a senior.

Linton is putting in the extra work to his craft so he can perform this season.

“My progression worked from my first year to now. I never used to work out before school and only worked out at school with the team, but I learned over the years that people want to want to be decent workout 3 times a day and I do that now, including practices. learning now to play with a team and getting to know the game of basketball better by coach Kerr.”

Linton is gearing up for his last season with the Irish.

“The way I feel wearing my O'Dea jersey for my last time this year is that I want to win a state ring with all my brothers that I came into O'Dea with and want to go out with a bang. I have to give it my all because I don’t got anything to lose and it’s my last season.”

Being a very team-oriented player Linton is a naturally good leader. He shows his leadership with his great body language showing that this team means a lot to him.

“This team means to me that I must be a leader for everyone even the senior. got to keep my head up so my brothers keep their head up. want to go win everything and compete.”

Being a senior Linton will be going to college next year and has big plans for his future.

“My plan after high school is to go to college, I don’t have any offers yet so if I don’t get any, I will probably go the juco route. and major business. because I want to own my own business one day.”

His big aspirations for his future continue within the team. This team has big goals for this season, and they are ready to compete.

“My hopes are to win metro league and a state ring. get close with the team so I can get the team chemistry up, so we play together as a team and win win win.”

Linton is an elite guard with a great head on his shoulders and he is ready to fight till the end for this team. He is someone that the Irish need is they want to achieve their goals this year.
