O’Dea Soccer had a tough year, but the players have a bright future ahead.

The Irish struggled this year but were not able to have their best players on the field.

The Irish were Led by senior UW commit Conner Loffy. Who was also recently named Valedictorian. He was not able to play because of club commitments.

Another Junior Soccer player Julius Suber was also not able to play because of club commitments.

Also, the Irish had to deal with a lot of injuries this year from Star players like Jack Suk and Favian Martinez, and Carter Gribble.

Overall, they finished 7-8-1 and 3-6 in metro.

Which was overall a very big surprise to them having such a big year getting second in state. They came up short this year losing in the first round of metros to Roosevelt and are done for the season.

Which was weird because they started off the first 4 games 3-0-1 and it looked like they were about to have a dominant year.

The team was led by Greg Wheeler who scored a lot of goals.

“We had to work with what we had all year,” said Greg Wheeler.

They have a lot of guys going to play college soccer.

Favian is Going to Seattle University

Conner is going to the University of Washington

Roman Campos is going to the University of Dallas

Dylan Weinstein is going to Lewis & Clark University

The Irish are sending a lot of top players off to college and are going to need some new players to step up.
