O’Dea Tennis Wins Match Against Cleveland 4-1

SEATTLE - The O'Dea tennis team wins match against Cleveland on March 30, at Jefferson Park. The overall match score was 4-1 with the games lost being close and the games won the opposite.

Griffin Wicks, O'Dea's doubles three player, says "There was really no expectations going into it because we werent really sure, but looking at their schedule we did see that they lost against a team we won against so I think that was important that we noted that in our minds that maybe it was going to be a little bit easier of a match".

Cleveland was an easy match for the O'Dea tennis team, and while some players were better than others, overall the Cleveland high school tennis team was no match for the Irish.

"I think we did really good, we went 4-1 because they did this thing called 'stacking' where they put their better players lower on the lineup but I think they did that for one of their singles players so I think we won fair and square across the board we would have 5-0 swept if they didn’t stack" - Said wicks.

The tennis team needed this win as they have lost the past 3 games and were looking for a morale booster, but more importantly a win. With the Eastside match on the horizon the tennis team goes into the match confident and ready.
