The fighting Irish look to make a big run in state

The Irish had a solid performance beating Nathan hale 74-58 with big games from Mason Williams with 19 pts and 18 pts from Miles Clark.

They also beat Rainier Beach 74-58 and also beat Bellevue 66-57 on their way to play eastside in the districts. With big games from mason Williams scoring 19 pts vs beach and 20 pts vs Bellevue.

They ended up losing to eastside 65-59 in a close game.

This moves them into the state playoffs as the 5 seed and plays Auburn on Saturday at 8. Auburn is the 4 seed.

Garfield is the 2 seed and Eastside Catholic is the 3 which is an advantage for the Irish because they would rather play against mount Spokane or beach if they beat auburn. It looks like it’s going to be a close game according to the players.

Mason Williams leads the team with 16.4 pts and 4 assists.

Also 3-star center Miles Goodman leads the team in boards with 6.5 and is also averaging 9.7 points
