The O'Dea Fighting Irish Take Care of Business as they Beat the Peninsula Seahawks 42-28
SEATTLE- The O'Dea Fighting Irish take down the Peninsula Seahawks 42-28 in the first round of the 3A State Playoffs at Memorial Stadium.
The fighting irish once again proved why they are the third seed team in the state. The game was going as planned, but star junior running back Jason Brown Jr. had to come out around the first half due to an injury and didn't return for the rest of the game.
With Brown out for the rest of the game, junior strong safety Sir Keenan Hart stepped in for Brown. Hart knew that the coaches had faith in him to fill in a spot that had a lot of expectation.
" At first a little nerves kicked in but as the game went on I felt really good," said Hart.
Hart delivered emphatically with 2 touch downs with one of the touch downs being a 51 yard touchdown run, and rushing for 188 yards on nine carries.
After the big win, the Irish will be headed to the state quarter finals where they will be playing 11th seed Stanwood high school next Friday.
