The O'Dea Fighting Irish show a dominant performance in a 54-10 win over the Bishop Blanchet Bears

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

SEATTLE- The Fighting Irish are coming off a comeback win against the Bothell Cougars going into week 2 and the Irish made another statement against the Bears on Friday night to go 2-0.

The Fighting Irish offense started hot and scored over 10 points in each of the first 3 quarters. The offense had a dominant performance in every offensive aspect.

Junior quarterback Luke D'Anna was quick to give credit to his teammates. “The offensive line was definitely a big factor in our win,” Danna said.

The offensive line helped players like D'Anna and junior running back Jason Brown with their performance which led the team to have such a big lead, but the offense wasn’t the only factor.

Throughout the night the defensive line put pressure on the Bears' quarterback. The defense had 3 interceptions and only allowed the Bears to score 10 points. The Bears scored only in the 2nd quarter but couldn’t find any momentum afterward.

A lot of the players stepped up and shined during the game which led to the dominant Irish performance

The Fighting Irish had many bright moments in the game but now they go against 2-0 Rainer Beach at Lumen Field and hope to improve their record to 3-0 and keep their undefeated record.
