Upcoming Golfer, Lucas Stewart has High Hopes for Himself and the Future of the Golf Team
Sophomore Lucas Stewart had a successful second season of high school golf and noticed a lot of guys be successful also. He recognizes the talent and potential that the golf team can have and wants to capitalize on that aspect.
“I think that the more people we have means we have more opportunities for better players in the future,” says Stewart.
With key factors Seniors, Brady Foster, Brady Anderson, and Bryce Dunbar leaving next year the young guys will have to keep the momentum going next year.
“We just had a lot of guys join the team which really benefited us,” says Stewart. With the golf team only losing once this season and pacing 2nd in the Metro League championship they have a chance to be as successful or be better next year.
The JV team has been learning from the Varsity team and has been building chemistry to create a state championship-level team. “We can be just as successful by maintaining the fact that we are all a tea and that we all have to lift each other up.”
Aside from learning from the Varsity team the Stewart and the JV team have been able to improve and carry their weight for the team.
