Noel Davis and the Basketball Team are Looking Forward into a Great Season

SEATTLE- Winter Sports are back and the Fighting Irish Basketball team are looking forward to a great season. The team started off the season well with two impressive wins against Rainer Beach and West Seattle High School.
The team has ballers everywhere you look especially junior point guard Noel Davis. Davis has been part of the basketball team since freshman year and since then has been growing immensely as a player.
One of the reasons why he has been growing as a player is because of his off the court grind.
"I've prepared myself by getting in the gym early in the morning with coach p getting some extra strength work and also working on my shots," said Davis
Not only has Davis changed as a player but mentally he has really stepped it up and that’s why you see him perform every game.
"I think my mindset has changed the most, and I feel much more consistent every time I step into the court."
As the Irish started up their season, Davis has been a key player for the team with 10.7 points per game, a field goal percentage of 50, 3.3 assists per game, has a 60% 3-point field goal percentage, and has 5 steals.
Davis and the basketball team are going to have some challenging match ups as the season goes on like the Garfield Bulldogs, and the Eastside Catholic Crusaders, and they will be looking to return back to the state championships after last year's loss against Eastside.
