O'Dea and Seattle Prep Tie in Close Game

SEATTLE- On March 17th, in the soccer game against the O'Dea Fighting Irish and the Seattle Prep Panthers, the game would end up a tie at 1-1. O'Dea would start off the night slow as Prep shot ahead with a score late in the first half off of a cross. "This was their only attack. They could only play defense against us. They would clear the ball every time which made it difficult," said senior Saverio DeSimone. Then as the second half started, Connor Lofy dribbled through three guys and was able to get the ball past the goalie. "We had a slow start in the first half but we were much better by the 2nd half. We controlled the game. Over 80% possession," said DeSimone. The game would stay 1-1 for the rest of the game. DeSimone said, "We had plenty of chances but we couldn't execute. Prep was playing for a tie and we were playing for the win." Overall it was a strong game from both teams.
