The Irish Seniors Have A Special Night
SEATTLE-The O’Dea Fighting Irish Swim Team improved to a record of 7-0 after winning with a score of 111-69 over Kennedy Catholic. But it wasn’t just the score of the night that was significant, it was also senior night for both teams.
The Irish have a total of 12 seniors on the team this year. So, with that many seniors it meant that the night was going to be special. Special it was.
“I was so happy to have spectators there, family and friends from O’Dea and Kennedy made it a special night,” stated senior Jack Wolff.
With the ability to have spectators at this meet the energy seemed to propel the team throughout the night. They won 7 out of the 12 events in the meet.
Then at the end of the meet the seniors had their senior night ceremony which included a special 13th event for the seniors to do a fun goofy relay. Afterward that the seniors lined up and Coach Schutte talked about all the seniors and what they have done with the team.

Along with senior night the seniors look to the underclassmen as they hope to leave them with a memorable swim team experience.
“I would hope that we would draw the team together, I hope we inspired leaders in the team for next year and left a strong impression that will keep the team going and growing from here.”
Now the team prepares for it’s toughest challenge yet this Friday as it is set to face Lakeside at Meadowbrook Pool and defend it’s undefeated record.
